Works even in low light! I needed to add air to my pond and it works beautifully. My pond only gets about 4-5 hours of light but this has been a huge improvement in the water. Will need to add a clarifier later.

It works well during the daytime and I have it in direct sunlight for the majority of the day but it does not charge the battery to work overnight. I do find this very useful when we go pick up fish or transport fish during the day as we have had to do in the past. We also can say it is good if the power goes out during the daytime. It also works well to keep fish alive in a live-well when fishing. But as for my pond or a hydroponics setup, this would be a pass for me. How to fix up the price make it 10w solar panel and go almost double on the battery backup.

This solar aerator works well for small volume tanks and outdoor water features. The pump is quiet and the panel responsive to the sun. The stone creates a consistent airflow that helps prevent stagnation. Overall this works for most small tank needs

I had the aerator on our goldfish pond go out after about 2 years of constant use. Was thinking about trying a low cost solar with the thought even if I have to replace every year or two, it ends up cheaper and solar would be handy. I've had this running continuously for over a month now and is working great. Our goldfish pond is about 10 feet round and the aerator seems to do the job just fine. I've had no issue with solar keeping up, we live in Texas and do get a lot of sun though so keep that in mind depending on where you live. It is nothing fancy but works and cost far less than the pump we were replacing. Goldfish seem perfectly happy with it. I run mine on low power continuous on.
